Architects Crang and Boake was founded in 1952 by George E. Boake and James C. Crang. The portfolio of the firm includes numerous large projects in the commercial, institutional and health care sector in Canada, as well as projects in England, China and the Middle East.

The current mandate of the firm is the advancement of research and development to facilitate high quality design to North American standards in the International offices.

The portfolio of the firm has expanded to include small power projects, green energy and low carbon research.

Brian G. Boake BES BArch OAA

Brian Boake graduated from the School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo with a Professional Degree in Architecture in 1982. He has been President of ACBI since 1999. He has been responsible for hundreds of commercial, institutional and residential projects in the Toronto, Beijing and Abu Dhabi offices.

The first project that Brian was involved with when he joined the firm was the Metro Toronto Convention Center, a building that continues to serve the needs of the City of Toronto to this day.

Terri Meyer Boake BES BArch MArch LEED AP

Terri Meyer Boake graduated from the School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo with a Professional Degree in Architecture in 1982 and completed her research M.Arch. at the University of Toronto in 1986. She is a tenured Full Professor at the School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo. She received her LEED AP in 2004. She carries out research in the area of Carbon Neutral Design and Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel. She is the Past President of the Society of Building Science Educators and the Past President of the Building Technology Educators' Society. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Architects Committee for the Sustainable Built Environment. She is a 2015 recipient of the AISC Special Achievement Award in Education.
